    • LAC: 10 cases (8 confirmed, 2 probable)
      • Buncombe:  2 cases, weeks 27 & 37
      • Cherokee:  1 case, week 34
      • Haywood: 2 case, week 38 & 42
      • Transylvania:  2 cases, week 37 & 38
      • Unknown County:  3 cases, week 38 and unknown
    • WNV: 4 cases acquired in-state
      • Lenoir County: 1 case, week 36
      • Wake County: 1 case, week 37
      • Guilford County: 1 case week 37
      • Additional Case: asymptomatic blood donor from Wake County
  • Mosquito Pools
    • Gates County:  1 EEE positive pools, Culiseta melanura, week 37
    • Perquimans County: 1 EEE positive pool, Culiseta melanura, week 41

 

  • Sentinel Chicken Surveillance: (maps below)
    • EEE: 20 positive hens in 7 counties
    • WNV: 1 positive hen in 1 county
